Uranium is important for EU’s electricity production. Uranium as feedstock for electricity production is gaining importance. Already, nuclear power stations produce around a third of the European electricity and 15% of the energy consumed in the EU. Throughout the EU, nuclear reactors that were on the list for being phased-out are instead being upgraded and kept in use.
