European Commission to research impact uranium mining
Due to new developments in Africa and the concerns described in this web dossier, the European Commission should continue studying regularly the impact of the imports of uranium of the European Union in Africa. It is important the these studies are independent and include the impact on health and environment, peoples and workers rights, conflict, waste production and –management, and tailings.
