Fatal Transactions participates in round table on Natural Resources & Conflict at United Nations headquarters

Fatal Transactions took part in a Round Table on Natural Resources & Conflict in New York, February 20th in the German House. The Roundtable was organised by Global Witness and the Heinrich Boel Foundation.

UN Missions and UN Departments such as the UN Security Council Report and the UN Peace Building Commission were invited to discuss the role of the UN in adressing the issue of conflict resources. The civil society representatives presented a set of recommendations to the UN and called for a Secretary Generals' Report on the issue.

Fatal Transactions drafted a short paper on the link between the Kimberley Process and the United Nations' work on conflict resources.
